HEFTY

„Hefty“ is a modular system consisting of cast iron legs and a wooden surface. Formally, I was interested in the aesthetics of plastic objects from the 60/70s. Their symmetries, curves and the lightness of the material fascinated me in contrast to the classic forms of cast iron. The result of this work is a system of two identical pairs of legs that can support a wooden surface simply by slotting into place. The wooden top is easily interchangeable, allowing the bench to be used in different sizes. I am currently working on a modular system that also includes stools and tables.
